Eighteen Visions Reunion

An Eighteen Visions reunion appears to be imminent. For years it had been rumored, but I always dismissed the idea. However I went to a concert and was told by a fellow musician and friend of the band that a reunion was planned but the reunion would not include bassist Mick Morris. When I was told I was excited and disappointed. Excited because myself and other fans had been waiting since 2007 for a reunion and disappointed because Mick would not be in the band.

I decided to keep the info to myself until it was officially announced. However just recently Mick Morris let the information out on twitter, with many fans backing him up about including him in the reunion. While this isn't exactly a 100% confirmation of the band getting back together, I did some digging and found what is supposed to be an official Twitter account for the band (https://twitter.com/18VOfficial)

**It is currently unknown if the account is real and if the rumors are true, but as soon as I am certain, I will post information.

Charles Manson Music To Be Released

According to an article on Yahoo News, a Kickstarter campaign has been collecting money to release some of Charles Manson's music on Vinyl. The Kickstarter page reads:
*Like us on Facebook and Follow on Twitter*

"Be a part of history, help spread the music of Charles Manson, This project is not about death, drugs,1969, etc... It is about MUSIC."

Manuel Vasquez, who start the kickstarter campaign has been quoted saying; "I've gotten some hate mail from it, There are people not appreciating the release of music by him. People say they don't understand why I'd want to associate myself with this or why I would be interested in releasing it." and "Most people won't like it. It probably requires an acquired taste, It's really low-fi, mono."

Vasquez plans to release 999 vinyl pressings of Manson's songs. Those who contributed enough, will have their names included in the album's liner notes and will even receive a piece of artwork crafted by Manson himself.

It should also be noted that Manson has given the project his personal blessing and will NOT receive any money or proceeds from the sales.

Secret Empire "Storm Command" Review

Secret Empire "Storm Command" Review
*Like us on Facebook and Follow on Twitter*

Many people may not know who Connor Ragan is. He’s an up and coming artist with a huge drive to make music. In fact, his older brother is in a pretty popular band you may have heard of called Hollywood Undead. Connor and his band Secret Empire have been working on their album Storm Command for several years now and have finally released it as of August 1st and even better, the album was free.

The album isn’t exactly a hard rock album, but it still manages to pack a punch. The music and lyrics are extremely heartfelt and meaningful. Each song has its own unique sound and none of them really feel like filler songs. The album sort of has a laid back mellow sound through most of it and a few songs sounding a little sad in my opinion. Not sure if that was the intention or not.

The producing and mixing of the album should be mentioned as well, because it’s actually pretty damn good. The album is clear and crisp sounding just as good (maybe even better) than many major releases from some bands around today. Which is no surprise when you find out that the man behind it was Shaun Lopez, who has worked with bands such as Deftones, Whitechapel, and Crosses (†††).

Last words:
Give this album a listen; you really have no excuse to not listen when it’s free. You might find yourself enjoying it just as much as I did.

Score: 5/5
Release: August 1st, 2012
Standout Songs: Plastic Wrist, Morning, The Loneliest Place, and Disappear.

Abigail Williams Break Up + Last US Tour

Abigail Williams has decided to call it quits. Moments ago the members posted an update on their Official Facebook Page. The band has been around since 2004 and released their newest album "Becoming" earlier this year. Be sure to see them one last time while you still have the chance, I personally want to wish them all good luck with wherever the future takes them. The bands official statement said:
*Like us on Facebook and Follow on Twitter*

"After much consideration we have decided to make these upcoming Abigail Williams shows our last US tour. This was a very hard decision to make but feels absolutely necessary at this point. I've had the best times of my life with this band and learned so much about what I want to do with music as well as what I don't like about the industry etc and we honestly feel like its best to put the band to rest after making what we feel to be our very best album. Im honestly just feeling satisfied with everything we have done as Abigail Williams and I feel ready to put it to rest. We want everyone to know this has nothing to do with differences inside the band as we are still very much a family and these are still the same people I want to make music with now and in the future

We think that 2012 is the perfect year for new beginnings and we definitely plan to put music out later this year in the form of a new band(s). It would be easy to give people the names to our new projects here but rather than capitalize off this announcement we would rather word get out naturally starting with our friends when the time is right. We want to thank our friends and fans who have supported us through the good and bad times over the years, we know its been a very bumpy road at times. We are still very dedicated to making music and this change will actually allow us to do more of what we want to do and be more productive. We hope to see everyone on the road for this tour that we booked DIY for the most part by ourselves. The dates are below even though some of them are still waiting to be confirmed. Also we want to emphasize that this is our last US tour and that we are open to touring overseas if the right tour comes up."
