Rush Wins Governor General's Award + More

Rush has recently been announced as one of this years recipients of the Governor General's Performing Arts Award in Canada. They will be awarded with a commemorative medallion struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, as well as a $25,000 cash prize.

The band has also recently sent a cease and desist letter to Rush Limbaugh, demanding him to stop using their song "The Spirit of Radio" on his show. The letter says:

"the use of Rush’s music in this manner implies an endorsement of the views expressed and products advertised on the show, and is in breach of not only copyright and trademark rights, but also, of section 51 of the New York Civil Rights Law … Accordingly, we hereby demand that you immediately stop all use of Rush’s music and confirm that you will do so."
