Ugly Kid Joe releasing new EP

Ugly Kid Joe reunited a while back and are set to release a new EP on July 9th. The EP is the first album to be released since the band's break up in 1997 and is titled 'Stairway To Hell", it will feature 6 songs (which can be heard on a widget) and will feature Angelo Moore & Dirty Walt of Fishbone. A video has also been released for the album's first track "Devil's Paradise" which can be viewed below. UKJ's line up currently consists of:

Steeve Hurdle Passes Away

Steve Hurdle (former guitarist of Gorguts) has passed away on May 20th at the age of 41 reportedly due to complications from surgery. As well as being Guitarist for Gorguts, Hurdle also founded the band Negativa in 1994. An official statement from his family has yet to be release and any other details remain unclear at this time.

Hell or Highwater 'Terrorized In The Night' Music Video

Hell or Highwater have unveiled a new music video for their song 'Terrorized In The Night' on Noise Creep which you can view below. Hell or Highwater is a newer band fronted by Atreyu band member Brandon Saller, and the song is featured on the band's debut album Begin Again which was released last year.

When asked about the song, Brandon told Noise Creep:
"We like to party, especially our guitar player Matt, this song is actually about him. We wanted to make a party/grimy horror flick video ... voila!"

Slipknot Returning To The Studio In 2013

Slipknot, who will be headlining this year's Mayhem Festival, is making plans to return to the studio to make a new album sometime in 2013. The new album will be the follow up to 'All Hope Is Gone' which was released in 2008 and it will also be the first album since the death of Paul Gray in 2010. In an interview with NME, Sid Wilson said:

"We've got Mayhem Festival this summer and, after we break for winter and Stone Sour are done with their tour, we’ll be back in the kitchen with Slipknot."... "Actually, before Stone Sour finish touring we’ll be in the studio preparing for Corey’s return, keeping the irons hot."


Wilson continued to say: "It’ll be tough, it won’t be easy. Slipknot’s the biggest thing in all of our lives, but we’re always going to come back to it. We’re going to get it done. I’m excited and I’m ready to do it … I’m sick of hearing people talk, it’s time for action. When we come together, it’s badass; we need to harness that energy of the live shows. When we come together like we always do, it’s going to be brutal."

Brian "Head" Welch Plays On Stage Live With Korn *NOW W/Video*

Tonight (May 5th) at Carolina Rebellion, something I didn't think I would ever really see again happened. Brian "Head" Welch joined Korn on stage and played the classic "Blind" at Rockingham Speedway. (Photo Below)

Brian left the band back in 2005 and became a born-again Christian after experiencing years of hard drug and alcohol abuse during his time with Korn.

Adam Yauch Passes Away

Today Adam Yauch of The Beastie Boys has passed away at the age of 47. Adam has been in treatment for cancer since 2009 after finding out he had a tumor in his salivary gland. Adam co-founded the Beastie Boys back in 1979 with Mike Diamond and Adam Horowitz in 1979. He and the rest of the band were a huge inspiration for up and coming artists and he will be terribly missed.
